Yes, it was odd that it just popped into my mind to write something up on &#039;library&#039; analytics and then your post appeared.  Personal ownership of web data was something that one of the other Activity Data projects here at KMi explored.  
It seems to me that there is a step that gets this data organised to be exploited at scale and once that data is there it opens up possibilities for being able to use it in some different ways.  So why shouldn&#039;t we be able to detect that a lot of students on course x are suddenly looking at library web pages on referencing and push to them some tutorials to help referencing, as an example.  Maybe an idea for another blog post there]]></description>

I wonder if it will become an increasingly important use-case for analytics services as users become much more aware of their data ownership, and as concepts like &#039;personal data clouds&#039; etc grow and expand. 

This could be an important consideration for a project like LAMP as it develops its use-cases.
